Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 245D, regulates the provision of home and community-based services to persons with disabilities and individuals age 65 and older. The 245D services are designed to support and enhance the health, safety, and independence of those receiving care. Services are divided into two categories: basic services and intensive services. Basic services focus primarily on supervision, while intensive services aim to train, rehabilitate, or habilitate individuals to achieve greater self-reliance.
